Headdress of vegetable fibre (Bedamuni: niasofè). A small diadem-like headdress worn by little girls when dancing, by initiated boys, and men. The headdress is made of fibres from niasofè (Abroma augustum) leaves. Small bundles of these fibres are knotted on to a string of twined gopéa (Buko, Gnetum gnemon) rope and cut to length. The diadem is decorated with two semi-parallel stripes of red paint (apusi).
