Bowl used for drinking tea, Jizhou ware. Conical tea bowl with slightly recessed base. The body is light grey stoneware, covered with an opaque, dark brown iron glaze with buff hare fur marking on the interior and buff tortoise shell marking on the exterior. Three openwork panels of quatrefoil shape reserved in dark brown glaze against a buff ground on the interior, achieved by sticking a paper cut-out over the glaze. Base and rim are unglazed.
