Pinocchio

Boxed string puppet depicting Pinocchio, with articulated wooden body parts decorated with polychrome pigment. The puppet wears a textile costume including red shorts, a white shirt, and a yellow hat. It has vegetable fibre strings and wooden operating bars. The puppet was originally contained in a yellow cardboard box decorated with images of other puppet characters, and the text 'Pelham Puppets, Marlborough Wilts. Hand made puppets for children with fully illustrated instructions. Made in England'.
