Black silk boy's kimono with middle horizontal section in cream decorated with yuzen painted feather motifs in blue and green outlined with gold paint. There are five mons (family crests) (maru-ni-tachibana) in the upper black section, one at either side at the front, two at the top of each shoulder and one in the centre at the back below the neck. There is a painted hawk (taka) design on the reverse, picked out in embroidery in gold and silver thread. The lower part of the kimono is plain black. The kimono is lined in white, with an inner garment also in white with a white check (ichimatsu) pattern, lined in white. The inner garment has an additional inner sleeve in blue, also lined.
