Carved and painted wood horse on wheels with a chain for pulling. Rectangular wooden base, two iron wheels on an axle at the back, two pivoted castors at front attached to underside of base. A chain at the front, probably a replacement, passes through a metal loop at the front to enable the horse to be pulled along. The brown, male horse has glass eyes, leather fittings with copper mounts and the mane and tail are made from horsehair. There are two lengths of chain hanging loose, one each side, at the front of the horse. Manufacturer's name plate on plinth reads: H. Pegram, 320 Euston Road, London N.W.
