Carved wooden demon mask which once had horns, as evidenced by two holes in the top. Three rows of carved inscriptions on the inside. Prominent eyes and teeth, one fang missing. Appears to have been stained black rather than dyed. Similar to a horned female character in Noh theatre (Hanya) but crude in comparison. The number 8798 appears in red crayon on the inside. Kind of demon mask often hung inside a house. Sliding end of nose.
