Cast bronze iron with circular pan for holding hot charcoals, smooth, flat base for ironing clothes and a socket with two pierced hole for hammering nails to the long bamboo handle, which is wound with rattan wicker. It is decorated on the exterior with three rectangular panels enclosing 'shou' (longevity) characters against a ground of swirling thunder pattern (leiwen).
