Woman's belt, a long strip hand woven on a loom in a technique called Navadit, a wrap-faced weave with different coloured warp threads. Plaited tassles of black warp threads: black, orange, red and white at each end. The belt wraps around the waist, keeping both the shirt and skirt in place.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
