A woman's embroidered headband consisting pale purple twill and damask cloth, applied silk fabric of white, purple and green, applied strips of tabby woven metal strip, couched silver-coloured metal strip and braids. Small motifs of what appear to be insects and couched endless knots are embroidered onto the green cloth and a repeating leaf motif is embroidered onto the white fabric. The headband is edged with blue satin and lined with orange and red tabby woven material, probably cotton. The front has a vertical row of metal discs down the centre, which once may have held jewels. The headband has black ties.
