A rectangular piece of woven raffia textile. It has an double weave tabby ground of undyed raffia, with selvedges positioned down the centre of one face, possibly the obverse, and handstitched together through both layers. A supplementary warp, of dyed dark brown raffia, is worked through both layers to form bands at both ends and a field of vertical, elongated herringbone and diamond twill patterning. One end has its loose warp ends forming a fringe; the other warp ends are largely absent.
