Red hair tassel plume decoration. Made of a short bamboo tube, with a closely bound twisted fibre binding that secures eight rows of long red-dyed hair fringes around three-quarters of the circumference, that hang over the closed tube end which is covered with a black resin. The open end of the tube is bound with many strands of red cotton twisted together, with the excess length caught in a split in the tube and tucked into the open end.
