The top half of a mummy cartonnage. The face section is missing and much of the material on the outside has cracked away revealing the textile beneath. Some decoration in blue, red, white, green and black pigment remains. There is a slit at the top of the head. The internal structure made from narrow twigs can be seen inside.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
