snuff bottle

Snuff bottle in a flattened rectangular form with short neck, flattened rim and recessed base. The bottle is made of porcelain and painted with cobalt blue pigment under a clear glaze. The exterior is decorated on one side with eight figures on a landscape, among them a man is sitting on a kang table playing a pear-shaped pipa, or lute. The other side features a scene with three fishermen and two boats on a river. On the base are four characters, the 'Qianlong' mark, is written in a seal script in underglaze blue.
