Folding book with text in Shan script and some diagrams, including magic squares containing numbers, and instructions on making magic amuletic candles. Folding book consisting of 45 openings between stiff cloth covers lacquered black, stitched on in a rectangle half an inch inside the edges. The body of the book is of thick mulberry paper with script on both sides, mostly lines of text written horizontally across the landscape opening in black ink. Script divided into what appear to be sentences with a symbol marked partly in red ink. The paper is made of four sections joined once by a binding along the outer edge and twice by stitching similar to that on the covers. There are no blank pages.
