Taxidermy case of two adult male and one adult female Red-billed Chough. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult female, shot by me in Christchurch Harbour, Jan 3rd 1871; top right (no 2): adult male, shot by me in Christchurch Harbour, Jan 3rd 1871; bottom right (no 3): adult male, shot by Robert Keynes in Christchurch Harbour, Jan 3rd 1871. Formerly a resident in Hants and Dorset, but not of late years. These are the only individuals I have seen in this district, and killed two, Robert Keynes shot the other at the same time. Sexes alike; summer and winter plumage the same. Mounted by me'.
