Taxidermy case of adult female, adult male and adult male variety of Meadow Pipit. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Middle left (no 1): adult female: June 21st 1878; bottom right (no 2): adult male: June 21st 1878; top right (no 3): variety male: August 1st 1883; nest and five eggs. All obtained by me at Coward's Marsh, Christchurch. Sexes alike; summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
