Taxidermy case containing eight varieties of Eurasian Skylark (three specimens destroyed). According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Bottom left (no 1): cream coloured, 1874; (no 2): black, 1872; (no 3): pied, December 1872; (no 4): white, October 29th 1887; (no 5): white, October 2nd 1900; (no 6): pied, January 1893; (no 7): dark brown, Jan 1878; (no 8): very pied, December 27th 1888. Eight varieties obtained by me during a series of years from winter flocks. Mounted by me'.
