Taxidermy case of five adult male and one adult female Parrot Crossbill. According to Edward Hart, writing on 15 April 1927, 'Bottom left (no 1): adult male, March 1862; middle left (no 2): adult male, December 5th 1901; top left (no 3): adult female, November 28th 1874; middle (no 4): adult male, November 28th 1874; top right (no 5): adult male, December 5th 1901; bottom right (no 6): adult male, March 1862. All shot by me in Grove Wood, Christchurch. This can scarcely be considered a separate species, but a large form from Scandinavia. Sexes differ, summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
