Taxidermy case of two adult male, one adult female and two nestlings of Red Crossbill. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Bottom left (no 1): adult male, October 15th 1911; middle left (no 2): adult female, February 19th 1917; top right (no 3): adult male, March 5th 1895; nestlings (nos 4 & 5), March 5th 1905. No 1 the beautiful red male was picked up in Branksome Park, Bournemouth, by the Rev. A. E. Corner. The rest were obtained by me in Southbourne Wood, near Bournemouth. Sexes differ, summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
