Taxidermy case of adult male, immature male and adult female Black-tailed Godwit. According to Edward Hart, writing on 5 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): immature male, October 3rd 1884; middle (no 2): adult male, May 10th 1875, summer plumage; right (no 3): adult female, May 10th 1875, summer plumage. Shot by me at Mudeford, Christchurch Harbour. Sexes differ in summer plumage, alike in winter plumage. Summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
