Taxidermy case of two adult male and one adult female Black-necked Grebe. According to Edward Hart, writing on 1 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult male, April 1863, summer plumage; middle (no 2): adult male, December 1876, winter plumage; right (no 3): adult female, May 1863, summer plumage. Shot by me in Christchurch Harbour. Sexes alike, summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
