Taxidermy case of adult male, immature male and adult female Smew. According to Edward Hart, writing on 21 April 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult female, January 24th 1881; middle (no 2): immature male, February 1864; right (no 3): adult male, January 18th 1876. All three shot by me on Barling Lake, River Avon, Christchurch. Sexes differ. Mounted by me'.
