Anglo-German system. Serial number 25507. Based on Jeffries design and Jones parts, circa 1890. The right-hand end is stamped: 'R Carr, Maker,' on the aluminium end, amongst the right-hand keys. The right-hand hand bar bears the Jones 'Defiance' trademark. 6.75" diameter aluminium end plates, simple Jones style fretwork. Jones hand bars. 61 domed aluminium buttons: 26 +2 on left-hand, 32 +1 on right-hand. Later brown leather straps. Ten-fold black leather bellows with gold star papers. Bellows frames stamped within with a Jones number: 25507. Round-end brass reeds, steel tongues, reed beds screwed on several rows on complex reed pans.
