Anglo-German system. Serial number 3201, 2964 on side. Oval scalloped paper label: 'Patent concertina by Geroge Case, Boosey & Ching, Holles St, London.' 6.25" diameter flat mahogany ends, with 3 areas of fretwork, brown muslin in backing, scalloped label hole, action label: 'May [18]81, repaired by J Belgrave, Plantation Rd, Oxford, 6 Tachbrook St, Leamington.' 21 keys: 10 each side + 1 air lever, acting on a rod. Flat bone, stamped 1-10. Later leather straps with nickel screws. Five-fold green leather bellows, with gold star papers (damaged). Round-end brass reeds in half-filled radial pan, with dealer's label: 'WC Burden, Dealer in Musical Instruments, 27 Saint Nicholas St, Leicester.'
