'This instrument was brought from Italy by Zanetti, a well-known dealer and connoisseur, and sold to G.A.Chanot of Manchester. After his death it was bought by W. Howard Head, from who I bought it in July 1939.' Percy Bull 'Catalogue of Antique Musical Instruments Collected by Percy A. Bull, Cumnor, Lauriston Road, Wimbledon' (unpublished, before 1948). Formerly attributed to Cristoforo Cocco (Koch).
