headdress (dance & live theatre)

Carnival headdress. Made of yellow fur fabric, yellow and green netting and feathers. Gold trim round edges.

Rio Carnival biggest in the world and dates back to 1723. Celebrations include a huge parade made up of more than 200 samba schools, with dancers performing in elaborate handmade costumes. Each samba school choses a theme and is responsible for designing and producing its own costumes that represents the theme. Most are handcrafted.
