Silky Shark

The silky shark is a migratory species that inhabits tropical areas worldwide. This species of shark can grow up to 3.3 metres in total body length, though normally full grown adults are around 3 metres in length, with females slightly larger than males. This species is particurlalry vulnterable to the meat market; the fins are taken for the shark fin trade to make soup, the skin processed for leather, liver has been used for liver oil.
