Coiled lidded basket of plant stems, each horizontal layer tightly bound to the layer above with a narrower continuous length of flattened plant stem. A small vertical rim at the neck. The lid is formed of a similar material and technique, has a raised oval part at the centre and a wider wrapped rim which overlaps the neck. A lop of hide from the centre of the lid, two lengths of hide attached to lid and basket to form a hinge, and opposite the hinge a length of hide attached to the basket which would go through a loop of hide with remnant of fur still evident, attached to the lid, to secure it. 300 long; 230 wide; 190h.
