Netsuke in the form of two swans, a large mother swan and a smaller cygnet. Each holds a stalk of lotus in its bill. The mother's head is turned backwards. Further stalks and leaves are twined around the swans. The netsuke is made of stone, possibly agate, beige in colour, with some parts of the leaves a reddish brown.
