shield (weapons: accessories)

One piece wooden shield of kidney shape with a square boss on the face and a handle dug out from the body of the shield on the back. The shield has a large crack across the entire lower half, and has been drilled and lashed together. It also has a European nail hammered through near the same spot. The shield is heavily wood-wormed from a historical infestation, and appears to have been painted with creosote at some point in its history. This appears to have obliterated any decoration on the shield.
