necklace (neck ornament (personal adornment))

Metal bead necklace made up of 32 beads, each formed of a perimeter made of a strip of sheet metal, filled at each side with twisted wire which has been formed into spirals and other curvlinear shapes. The shape of each bead alternates so that each fits snugly into the next. One shape is more or less rounded, with convex edges. These edges fit at each side into a corresponding concave curve on the sides of the second shape of bead. There are two apertures on each bead, through which a thread is passed to hold the beads in place. This is partly broken and there is no clasp.

Label: one Church Missionary Society label.
