archway

Part of a carved wooden archway. This forms half of 4522.35, which was dismantled by conservation in order for part 1 to go on display alongside 4522.12. This half consists of a square piece of slatted softwood.
Part of a carved wooden archway. This part consists of two pieces of wood one wider than the other, joined together at a right angle. The larger piece of wood has a simple slatted design and appears to be made of a soft wood, rather than teak like the majority of the arch. The smaller piece has an intricate border carving at the front, including floral designs and birds. On the back of this 'XXIX' is marked. (This piece fits at the top right of the arch, with the carved section sitting in front of part 12 and completing the border.)
