Rectangular piece of muslin, part of a woman's blouse. The textile has a panel comprising three bands of six squares embroidered at the top of the muslin ground and two bands of six squares at the bottom. Each square contains a thin black diagonal line and a mirror-image geometric motif, outlined in black, and worked in pale and dark purple, pink and green silks. Each motif has small pink and purple squares surrounding it, like a picture frame. The edges have pulled work decoration and additionally the bottom edge has a crochet or tatted edge and a narrow band of small repeating squares.
