scales

Bismar weighing scales made of a wooden rod with a wider section at one end with simple bands of carved patterning around the circumference. Notches along the smooth surface lower down to indicate weight of object. At the other end is an iron load hook which is attached to the rod by an S shaped iron element. Length 85cm.

The bismar would be suspended from a pivot which would be moved along the rod until equilibrium was reached.
