Raised rectangular wooden plinth consisting of a base frame. The front and sides are lacquered black, into which is set a wooden floor covered with tatami (straw) matting. The back section is stained or painted black. The two longer edges of the floor are covered with a strip of cloth decorated with black stenciled or printed design on a white background. The front of the frame has two carved decorative apertures. Base for weapon set 3.3.48/31.
