A brass spittoon. The spittoon has an undecorated surface. The base is cast in a series of levels, and the body is bulbous. The neck widens towards the top and the lip of the container flares outwards. The underside has two holes and a copper fixing in the centre. Label: one exhibition label, with a black and red border, printed. The label has broken in half.
