One of eight papercuts from Nanjing in Jiangsu province. Cream papercut of lotus flowers, leaves, seed pods and roots within an oval panel. Done with knife-cutting technique, pasted on black paper. The lotus is an emblem of summer, roots and seed pods are symbols of happy marriage and having many offspring respectively.
