ritual object; medicine

Part of a medicine bundle in the form of a stoat pelt including the skull. Decorated with a collar in blue beads.

The following comments result from a research visit made by Alison Brown, Anita Herle, Alan Pard and Charlene Wolfe, to examine some of the Horniman’s Blackfoot material (5 March 2015) : Weasel, hair tie. This is in pretty bad shape. As it was wrapped in polythene, and was clearly in poor shape, AP advised not taking it out its wrapper.
