Mat creaser carved from a single piece of maple, and consisting of a handle and body. The body is carved to represent a snake with head and tail raised. The operative part of the tool is the underside, which is deeply grooved. There is grooved decoration on the head, tail, and handle, and also decoration with round headed brass tacks.
