cribbage board

Cribbage board made in the shape of a box with the body and the lid of identical size; the two are hinged so that they fold back until the top of the lid and the base of the body lie flush together. Both these surfaces have small inlaid blocks of bone in two rows of three on each side, each block contains two rows of six holes. At the outer end of each half, in the middle is one hole, and in the centre is a long octagonal shaped hole with a carved bone panel decorated with floral design (one is missing). The box is carved with foliage designs.

Successive cribbage scores are marked on the board using pegs that are kept in small drawer on the inside (empty)
