Wooden shield of ovate form with rectangular spurs above and below. The face of the shield is pierced with two holes, through which a U shaped wooden handle has been fitted. The face of the shield is divided into four quarters by a large red cross, which is slightly recessed into the surface. The top left and bottom right quarters are decorated with the same infilling motif of parallel dotted lines. The top right quarter is infilled with parallel horizontal zig zags, and the bottom left with a series of concentric squares.
