Meisterchor harmonica, 4 full concert tremolo harmonicas arranged cross-wise. Concert octave instrument - each note has two reeds tuned as an octave. Each instrument is inscribed 'Meisterchor' on the top cover plate, and on the bottom cover plate: 'M.SPRANGER/MADE IN/GERMANY/TRADE/MARK' with the device of a cupid, and with various symbols including one for a trade exhibition prize of a golden medal in Paris in 1837. The riveted section of each cover plate is stamped with the note name of each instrument, following the circle of fifths: 'C' 'G' 'D' 'A'. Steel cover plates, wooden comb. A small tapered handle projects from each end of the instruments.
