Man's silk robe, chapan, Uzbekistan, with gold and pink ikat stripes, alternately with plain green bands. Sleeves, hem and front opening trimmed with braid which has been stitched on reverse with red yarn. A tie with terminal tassel at chest level to each side of the front opening to secure. Lined with red silk fabric. 1950s.
