One of a pair of loro blonyo wedding figures, male. Figure carved from a single piece of wood, the body more or less eliptical in section. The arms, which are by his side, are indicated by a slight recess front and back. The head and shoulders are more clearly defined, the latter with an integral headdress. No feet are shown. The clothing is painted on, the skirt cloth yellowish with diagonal lines of red and black, the high-collared jacket painted black with bronze buttons down the front opening and a star between crescents on the left chest. The head dress suggests a batik head cloth around a blangkon, with a black panel running along the back from crown to nape, where there is a small downward projection. The facial features suggest wayang depictions of refined characters, with narrow elongated almond eyes.
Used at weddings to represent the inseparable pair Raden Sadono and Dewi Sri, the goddess of fertility, and thus the bride and groom.
