Porcelain lid with a straight ring top and hand painted enamel decoration over clear glaze. The rim is slightly chipped. The outside of the lid is decorated with a female figure reading in her study on one side and with black inscriptions on the other side, four Chinese characters “○之人法, ○zhī rén fǎ”. A red seal is stamped on the top inside the foot ring, reading: “潘鼎康造pān dǐng kāng zào” , the name of the manufacturer.
