White cotton skirt formed of several lengths of machine-woven fabric sewn together vertically and gathered at the waist with a drawstring. Along the lower edge the skirt is reinforced with an extra width of cloth stitched with a large dentate edge at the top. Four vertical cloumns of broderie anglaise have been embroidered into the fabric most of the way down the back, meeting a horizontal band of broderie anglaise. At the bottom edge is a band of white ric rac, below which a further band of fabric has been stitched on, embroidered in broderie anglaise with a scalloped edge.
