Headdress, gelungan, on a framework of bamboo strips painted red forming the shape of the crown and set into a horizontal band, possibly of wood, covered in red fabric. At the rear is a vertical panel of leather, finely carved in an elaborate floral and foliate pattern and panited in gold, which is roughly triangular and rises to a peak forming the highest part of the headdress. At the base of this panel is a carved wooden garuda head, also painted gold. At the front of the headdress a band runs across the forehead, made of carved leather painted gold into which are set small mirrors and red and blue glass stones. A vertical curved panel at either side, of similarly carved and painted leather with mirror pieces and stones. At each side is a forward facing circular ornament painted gold, form which hang five gold-coloured beaded chains terminating in red tassels. Each ornament is set on a stick which is fixed more or less horizontally along the side of the headdress. The crown is filled with artificial fabric white and yellow flowers, with a single red flower at the centre. Two artificial flower stems would als be set into the crown headdress.
