Black velvet padded carrying band, semayut, with shoulder straps and a pocket for the kris. The velvet is decorated with a printed floral pattern in gold . Similar fabric in maroon has been used for the two front sections of the shoulder straps. There are two narrow strips of this maroon fabric in order to tie the piece together at the front of the body. There is a piece of black cotton attached to the back, possibly to hold the kris and sheath (2010.91.16. 1-2) Part of costume for a Baris dancer.
