Cylindrical cast iron kettle, tetsubin 鉄瓶, with lid. The vertical sides are covered with arare moyo, or halistone pattern, consisting of a uniform series of raised knobs or bumps in regular rows. The flat cast iron lid is decorated with a border of four rows of a similar pattern. The knob is a very simple bud shape.
