Natural brown poncho in striped alpaca yarn. Man's haciendado style. Bound edging and neckline, corners sewn back and rounded off. Blue striped detail. In summer, to keep cool, these are sometimes worn with the corner of the poncho thrown over the opposite shoulder - like a cape - leaving the chest bare. Also often worn with knitted or crocheted hat with dangling earflaps and brown or natural felted hat over the top. Collected Cusco, southern Peru, where they are worn by most campesino men who choose to wear a poncho.
